Je tenais à vous parler aujourd'hui de l'exposition qui prends fin ce samedi sur le Black Panther Party à la salle d'expo B.A.N.K au 42 rue Volta/ Station Arts et métiers.
J'y suis allé il y a 2 semaines et j'ai été enchantée .
Moi qui ne voyait pas d'un trés bon oeil cette partie trés importante de l'histoire des Afro -Américains ,j'ai été envoutée .
Les photos sont tellement belles et émouvantes qu'on voudrait presque se fondre dans le décors pour les aider.
Les projections sont trés instructives ,mais malheureusement pour la plus importante(sur grand écran) les siéges sont vraiment inconfortables et pour les miopes profonds comme moi j'ai toute suite eu la migraine car la qualité des images est médiocres car ce sont des archives.
2éme Bémol ,les prix des affiches sont exorbitants mais chapeau bas à MR Tom Van Eersle,Auteur du bouquin,Les Panthéres Noires , vendu en exclu à l'expo.
Il à passé 2 ans entre Paris et les Etats -Unis à faire des recherches sur l'histoire du Parti et de ces membres pour la plupart encore prisonniers politiques .
J'ai eu la chance de faire dédicacer mon livre que j'ai dévoré en 1 semaine et demi .
Ce livre m'a fait apprécié les histoires personnelles et communes des acteurs du Parti .
L'écriture et trés fluide et entrainante .Cet auteur donne envie d'en savoir + et grace aux notes ,nous pouvons nous procurer toutes les références nécessaires pour approfondir nos recherches.
Un grand merci à Tom pour son accueil chaleureux et son partage de sa connaissance sur le sujet .

I'd like to talk about the Black Panthers Party Exhibit at the B.A.N.K at 42 rue Volta/ Arts et Métiers metro Staition, wich ends next saturday 27 th of may.
I went there 2 weeks ago and it has been fantastic .For a long time
I had been very reluctent about this very important part of the Afro-American culture.Thanks to this exhibit, I 've been mesmerized.
The pictures are so fantastic and moving that as long as we watch them we feel like we want to melt and get into the decor to help them out.
The screen and TV shows are very instructive but for the screen one the seats are very hard and the half blind kind of people like me catch a headache very quicly because of the quality of the projection because everything are archives .
Something else very wrong about this exhibit is that unfortunetly the prices of the posters are way too expensive.
But I'd like to give a big up to MR Tom Van Eersle ,author of les Panthéres Noires.
This book is on sell for the event at the B.A.N.K.
He spent 2 years travelling between here and the States searching and studying about the Party and most of its members who are now, for some of them ,in jail as political prisoners.
i was lucky to get my book signed . I read it within a week and a half.
This book made me appreciate many individual and group stories of the Party heroes .
The writing is very fluid and captivating .It makes the reader eager to learn more and get more information thanks to the notes at the end of the book.
A big thanks to Tom for his warm welcome to his world and the way he shares his knowledge about this huge subject.
